Premier Service Bank opens Sept. 10th with $10,320,000 in capital.
Premier Service Bank (In Organization), Bankmark's newest de novo bank project located in Riverside, announced they have surpassed the regulatory minimum of $8 million at an event held on Saturday, July 21, 2001 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the site of its proposed head office. Over four hundred current and potential shareholders attended PSB (IO)'s 110th investment meeting in order to preview the banks facility, located at 3637 Arlington Avenue in Riverside.
Kerry Pendergast, proposed president and chief executive officer, said, "having seen over 1800 potential shareholders, I have no doubts that we will capitalize at $10 million before the stock sale campaign closes."
"In order to raise capital you need a strategic plan," said Pendergast. "Bankmark had a plan and Premier Service Bank (IO) successfully followed it." Every half an hour, attendees were given tours of the new bank facility and the directors, organizers and management team continued to tell the bank's story. "We were surprised to have people actually buying stock at the site," he said. Telling the bank's story to as many people as possible is a significant part of Bankmark's strategy because it generates both shareholders and depositors, the critical elements when establishing a new bank.
Bankmark's process, which facilitates interaction between the proposed new bank and the community, doesn't just sell stock, it develops awareness that can generate business leads, clients and customers once the bank opens. The extensive database developed by Bankmark, enables the client to reach thousands of people throughout the surrounding communities so the bank can tell its story. "With Bankmark's proven strategy of bringing in shareholders, which we have witnessed first-hand, we will open this bank with a broad customer base. Overall, the program was a tremendous success and having Bankmark there to guide us made it even more effective," says Pendergast.
